Send Your Heads In - How It Works
The process
How Our Send-In Grinding Service Works
Freighting a cutting unit to a workshop you've never visited can feel like a risk, especially when the unit needs to come straight back into service. Our send-in process is built to make that straightforward for turf managers, mower shops and dealers across North Queensland who need reliable relief grinding without keeping a grinder on-site. From the moment your cutting unit arrives at our Townsville workshop, it's assessed, ground, tested and prepared for return freight, so you know exactly what to expect at each stage.

- 01
What to Send and How to Package It
Send the cutting unit itself rather than the full mower, removed and packaged securely for freight. Wrap the cutting edge to protect it in transit, and label each unit clearly with your business name, contact details and which machine or deck it came from, especially if you're sending more than one at a time. Clear labelling means units go back to the right machine first time, which matters most for dealers and shops handling several clients' equipment at once.
- 02
Turnaround and Return Freight
Turnaround depends on how many units are in the queue and the type of grind required, and we'll confirm an estimated timeframe when your unit arrives. Once grinding and testing are complete, we coordinate return freight back to your workshop, course or depot, so your cutting unit gets back into service with minimal delay.
$330
What Grinding Costs
Relief grinding is $330 per head, covering the full assessment, grind and testing process before your cutting unit is freighted back. For golf courses, sports turf facilities, mower shops and dealers grinding several units at once, get in touch and we'll talk through what's involved for your job.
For shops & dealers
Trade Accounts for Shops & Dealers
If you're a mower shop, dealer or contractor with reel equipment but no grinder on-site, we can set up a trade account so freighting cutting units to us becomes part of your regular workflow rather than a one-off job. It's a straightforward way to offer your customers a full grinding service without the cost of your own equipment.
